savetdThis is the final public event in CHUMS and it aims at presenting the results of the project, at disseminating the approach and good practices, at strengthening the CHUMS network and take-up of CHUMS approach in selected cities and organisations.

It targets local and regional decision makers, mobility managers, representatives of local authorities, businesses and mobility service providers.

We will keep you posted on details about the venue, the speakers and the agenda as soon as they will be available.

 

 

CHUMS Network members share their experience

CHUMS second phase in Edinburgh

SEStran, the CHUMS implementing partner in Edinburgh, has been conducting Travel Road Shows out at Edinburgh Park promoting the delivery of MyPTPs and Tripshare Rewards. These actions are targeted to employees from the site and so far the following businesses have been targeted (or have confirmed to be visited by SEStran): BT (British Telecom), JP Morgan, Saisnbury’s Bank, Tesco Bank, Business Stream, WSP (Consultancy), Millar Developments and RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).

IMG_4925The first Tripshare Rewards winner for 2016 is … (drumrolls) … Paul Hammond from Sainsbury’s Bank out at Edinburgh Park. Paul told us he signed up during National Liftshare Week last October. And says that ‘Tripshare is a really good initiative for the Park‘. The prize is £100 worth of High Street Vouchers.

Thank you for sharing, Paul! And good luck to all participants in the future prize draws on 19th of February, 21st March, 18th of April.

Michelin tires and Michelin stars

posterSMTC-Tisséo, our CHUMS partner in Toulouse, is getting ready for the second phase of implementing CHUMS with some tasty prizes! The second Carpool Week in Toulouse will take place from 8-12 February 2016.

The target of this year event is the employees of major companies and administrations of the Toulouse urban area, registered to the Tisséo carpooling service and participant to the Carpool Week – representing around 12 000 employees.

There will be 3 Mobility Jackpot draws (18th of February, 17th of March and 7th of April 2016). The lucky winners will be treated to a gourmet dinner for 2 in 3 Michelin starred restaurants in Toulouse.

Innovation, Formation and Clusters for SMEs in Craiova

On 30.11.2015, the Innovation, Formation and Clusters for SMEs – KIC InnoEnergy – a sustainable energy system for Europe through close integration of research, innovation and education took place in Craiova:

Solutions regarding promoting of innovation, entrepreneurship and education in the sustainable energy field by bringing together academics, businesses and research institutes were discussed during this event with a goal to make a positive impact on sustainable energy in Europe.

  • Solutions regarding coordination and support action funded under the 7th Framework Programme and addresses to the field of research and innovation.
  • Energy solutions for medium size cities.
  • Changes in travel behaviour mind-sets for commuting leading to more energy efficient transport.
  • Shift towards sharing the journey for  half of the working population (>80% of car commuters) who currently drive alone to work.
  • To attract-match-retain more employees to use carpooling for their commute to work trips.

During his presentations, Mr Gabriel Vladut included a brief description of CHUMS Project, goals, achievements and next steps.

CHUMS presented at the Award Gala and Expo “Produced in Oltenia”

Annualy, the County Chambers of Commerce and Industry organizes one of the most important business events of the year: Gala Top Companies and ExpoProduced in Oltenia Region”. Based on financial indicators, companies in the Dolj County compete and are rewarded in the frame of this event. The participant companies range from Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing to Construction, Services, Trade and Tourism as well as Research, Development and High – Tech.

The event was coordinated and led by Mr. Gabriel Vladut, President of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Dolj. At the end of the opening speech, Mr. Gabriel Vladut made a short presentation of the CHUMS Project, showing achievements and goals that are very important for the city of Craiova.
